Kinima 21's positions on Political Parties: abolition of parliamentary immunity, control of the Pothen Esches, abolition of MPs' auxiliary pension and mandatory accountability.

Our Positions on Political Parties

.Abolition of parliamentary immunity.

.The Pothen Esches shall not be submitted to the authority that the Parliament itself also controls. It will be submitted to a new independent authority, where the politician, his/her spouse, all children and parents will be obliged to submit it.

.Every non-profit organisation in which a candidate takes part will publish all funding sources it has received from 2000 onwards.

.Incompatibility between the legal profession and politics. No one can be both a lawyer and a politician at the same time.

.Candidates who have served as Ministers, Deputy Ministers or Secretaries General of Ministries from 2000 onwards renounce the auxiliary pension of MPs. If anyone wishes to keep it, he resigns from all his other incomes and is integrated into the auxiliary pension.

.Prohibition of participation in domestic and foreign political think tanks.

.Seizure of the individual assets of politicians under judicial investigation until the final decision. If the decision is acquittal, they will be compensated by the State.

.Those convicted for offences related to the exercise of their governmental duties (e.g. bribery) will serve 5 years of mandatory imprisonment and corresponding mandatory community service, irrespective of other court decisions.

.The country's representatives in the European institutions (MEPs) will report once a year to the Hellenic Parliament on the actions they took and the manner in which they voted.

.Abolition of the legal aid granted by Ministries to politicians who have legal issues.
