Zois Konstantinos Bechlis
President of Kinima 21 | Retired Captain - Military Doctor
He was unanimously elected President of the movement by its founding members: Zois Konstantinos Bechlis, retired Captain and Military Doctor. He was born in Athens, with roots in Epirus — specifically Ioannina and the region of Ancient Passaron-Peratis.
He studied as a boarder at the Anavryta Model School and at the 1st High School of Karditsa, where he found himself due to his father's transfer. He was admitted to the SSAS (Military Medicine), where he was named ensign. He graduated from the Divers School in Underwater Demolition Command as well as in Diving Medicine.
Among other postings he served on the destroyer Themistocles; on the night of Imia, aboard her just 200 metres from the islet, he experienced the drama and subsequently the betrayal by the political clique and the military's compliance with it. This proved pivotal for his stance towards officials whom he considers responsible for the decline at our country's expense.
He specialised in Internal Medicine and was then voluntarily transferred to the Greek contingent in Afghanistan, where he served about 8 months carrying out his dual mission as soldier and doctor.
He received further training in Hepatology at the University of Zurich and in London, where his model works have become points of reference for many other researchers' publications, at times without any particular involvement of his own. When his professor proposed that he stay and work in London on a salary above 10,000 pounds, he refused, considering it his duty to return to Greece.
He is the first Military Doctor to pass the Hellenic Navy Staff School, where he later served as guest lecturer with an outstanding effect on the morale of the classes he taught — despite reactions from senior officers who could not bear the comparison and once again exposed themselves to their political patrons.
As Lieutenant Commander he served at the Naval Cadet Academy where, despite informal pressure from officials to vaccinate the Naval Cadets in 2009, he refused to vaccinate them, saving the entire Academy from the fiasco of the pseudo-pandemic and its complications. He maintains excellent relations both with a great number of Naval Cadets of that period and with the teaching staff, several members of which take part in Kinima 21.
At the same time he is perhaps the only retired officer who resisted handing over command of the Armed Forces to persons not of Greek descent, through the falsification of their admission circular by Evangelos Venizelos, and appealed to the Council of State against it. Naturally all governments since then have retained the falsified circulars, with the probable result that within a few years we will have non-Greeks — even persons of Turkish descent — as unit commanders. Naturally, the leaderships in question silence the issue.
Subsequently, resisting the concession of the Votanikos Naval Fort for the erection of an Islamic Mosque, and following an incident in which he spearheaded opposition to the submission of the Navy leadership inside the Naval Cadet Academy, he jointly petitioned the Council of State together with Metropolitan Seraphim of Piraeus against the construction of the Islamic Mosque.
This became the occasion for him to be targeted both by anti-Hellenic gangs that supported the nation-nihilist governments as a deep state, with persistent reports against him and threats, and by leaderships purchased by politicians, mainly of the Navy, since their suspicious stance and silence were thus exposed and their artificial image discredited.
A founding member of the special medical intelligence office, producing model studies for confronting the Turks — an office that political expediencies and purchased chiefs within the army dissolved, delivering its classified studies pseudonymously to the press; yet they still resort to them, indeed with targeting that proves that the army leadership, poisoned by politics and nepotism, neither wants nor is able to fulfil its duty.
Beyond the services he offered to the Armed Forces as an officer, which possibly at times ran into the machinations of systemic cliques within the army — something to be investigated in the future when those responsible can be identified — he served as Director of the B Pathology Clinic of the Athens Naval Hospital, a position they could not strip from him, from which he earned the love of both patients and colleagues; for this reason certain collectives took care that he be judged non-promotable, although he was characterised as an excellent officer in every official evaluation, even by those who declared themselves ill-disposed towards him....
Thereupon he resigned and was discharged, since he could not place trust in any purchased leadership, political or military, considering the Armed Forces to be held hostage by a nation-nihilistic party regime. For as long as he practised at his clinic, no patient was lost to COVID-19.
He is Founder and President of the Scientific Association ESTIA (Union of Military Doctors), through which he denounced the abusive law 3257/2004 that dissolved Military Medicine. ESTIA triumphantly prevailed before the International Labour Organisation following a legal appeal of exceptional scientific quality prepared by fellow retired military doctors holding also a second degree, in Law, who likewise take part in Kinima 21.
He has authored 27 treatises concerning the therapeutic treatment of cancer, autoimmune diseases, management of infections, psychopathology, as well as the history of Epirus and critiques of personalities of the Ancient world and politics — all in the process of publication. He speaks English and German and has been practising martial arts for 15 years, not hesitating to travel abroad to follow eminent Masters. Being a Christian Orthodox, he practises Medicine not as a profession but as a ministry to every human being, without discrimination.
His interests beyond medicine include History and scientific research of the unified field of science, while he maintains a library of thousands of volumes with diverse subject matter.
Captain Zois Konstantinos Bechlis signed the founding act last, upon invitation, and was unanimously elected President of Kinima 21 following a proposal by its founding members, accepting their election.
