Our Positions on Mass Media
1.Disclosure of the ownership status of the media up to their natural persons, and establishment of an incompatibility with undertaking public works by the owner or by relatives up to second degree.
2.Abolition of journalists' immunity.
3.Prohibition of any kind of state subsidy to the mass media.
4.Abolition of anonymity in the prosecution of fake news and defamatory slander. Support for the standing of politicians against every kind of mud-slinging without proof.
5.The taking of footage from state bodies belongs freely to all media.
6.Special offence for those who deliberately spread threats and false news harming tourism and the security of the country.
7.Broadcasting of football and sporting events by all channels (at least of national teams and competitions within the country).
8.Restoration of ERT to EIRT and broadcasting only Greek series.
9.Creation of a platform where citizens can participate with their vote in public discussions and debates (e.g. which politician is right).
10.Special offence for the dissemination of fake news aiming at influencing the economy or public opinion.
